Worked on Still Life 12. In loose paintings like this one specs of color from underlying layers will show through a little bit. This will give richness and depth. In the future, I will tone the entire canvas with a thinned and lighter Burnt Umber or Burnt Sienna before doing any drawing or painting. A toned underpainting can tie the painting together a bit.
Worked on Landscape 11. When I give the trunks and branches highlights the trunks and branches will look three-dimensional. Right now things look a little flat.

Started Landscape 18. I’m trying to develop a landscape painting style. I don’t know where that’s going to go. I don’t think most people like my still-life paintings and that’s ok. The still-life paintings I finished and am working on are not fun although they are a little rewarding. Once I finish the still-life paintings I’m working on I’ll pretty much only do landscapes and seascapes.
I drew Landscape Paintings 16, 17, 18. Now I’m working on 17 paintings.
Worked on Still Life 25. The table needs a lot of work.
