Worked on Seascape 1. I’ll give it one or two more tries but I don’t think I’ll get the sky right.
I’m abandoning Landscape 3. It’s flat, with no light, and no shadows, and the sky is horrible. I’ll save the stretcher bars for another canvas.

Worked on Landscape 3. Soon I’ll begin painting individual corn stalks. Painting in a looser style is a nice change. The still-life paintings can be a little tedious.
Worked on Landscape 3. I need to start having two painting sessions per day, one in the morning and one after dinner for two or three hours. Tomorrow I’ll begin painting fifteen new paintings. Thirteen of them are drawn and ready for the first basic painting steps.
Worked on all of Landscape 3. Over the next few days, I’ll be drawing the 12 still lifes and the 2 stream paintings onto the canvases.
Worked on the clouds of Landscape 3. The clouds and cornstalks are not finished but this painting is getting pretty close.
Worked on the middle and foreground of Landscape 3. Tonight or tomorrow I’ll work on the sky. None of this painting is finished. I’m not sure how much time I want to spend painting cornstalks, but the more accurate they are, the better the painting will be.
Worked on all areas of Landscape 3 the last couple of days. I finally decided on a sky for this painting. This is the first step of the sky. The white clouds will go up higher after this layer dries. The corn-covered hill in the foreground will be a challenge. The hill goes down towards the dirt road. The trick will be to paint each corn stalk in detail making them them smaller as they go down the hill.
Worked on the middle and foreground of Landscape 3. Not sure yet what I’ll do with the sky.
Worked on the middle ground of Landscape 3. Saved the paint to do more work on this painting tonight or tomorrow. My eyes get tired after an hour or two which isn’t the worst thing. I just take a break or quit.
Worked on the sky near the horizon, the background, and some of the middle ground of Landscape 3.
